Consultations are by appointment and can be booked in person or by telephone or via the electronic portal (patients must register for this service)

If you think that you have a problem that cannot wait until the next available appointment you may discuss this with a doctor on duty and if necessary you will be seen the same day but we cannot guarantee that this will be with the GP of your choice.

The receptionists are here to help you; they have a difficult job and are very busy with phone calls and enquiries. When telephoning for an urgent appointment the receptionist will ask you for a few details. They have been trained to make these enquiries so that they can help you in the most appropriate way.

Your confidentiality will be respected at all times.

The use of Emergency Consultations is audited at all times to ensure appropriate resource allocation. We will write to patients who persistently misuse urgent consultations.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
